Try the programme
Transform how your students experience science! The Project Science programme is currently in its pilot phase, and we're seeking science departments interested in developing authentic investigation skills that increase student engagement and post-16 science participation.
The programme can be implemented in any year group from Year 7-11 and builds investigation skills progressively, preparing students for independent project-based challenges including Higher Project Qualifications (HPQ).

FAQ
Q: How does Project Science help with post-16 science?
A: It develops the enquiry capabilities and independent learning skills essential for A-level success - critical thinking, problem-solving, communication and project management.
Q: How do we evaluate the success of the programme?
A: The theory of action suggests that it may positively impact students' interest in science, their science identity and careers awareness, which may lead to more students wanting to take post-16 STEM subjects. We will use a pre- and post- student survey to look for changes in these factors.
Q: Should we select specific students or make it open to all?
A: The programme particularly benefits Combined Science students who like hands-on learning and who might not otherwise continue with STEM. It offers a pathway focused on applications and authentic inquiry.
