Project support

When students do their first full investigation, they need structured support to build confidence. Our project briefs provide the perfect bridge, offering just enough scaffolding to ensure success while preserving the excitement of genuine discovery.

Each project brief tackles a topic that genuinely matters to 14-16 year olds – from environmental dilemmas like plastic pollution to cutting-edge technology in sports. The briefs capture student interest through:

  • Multiple pathways: Students choose their own specific research questions within each topic
  • Authentic decision-making: Methods, variables, and conclusions remain in students' hands

Project briefs include everything needed for successful implementation: student presentation slides, detailed teacher guides with lesson support, and comprehensive technician guides listing all equipment requirements with sourcing information. Most projects use standard laboratory equipment, with any additional materials clearly specified.
